ABOUT BOOTSTRAPS
The mission of Bootstraps, Inc. is to provide financial assistance for the purpose of higher education to the students of the Conifer High School and Evergreen High School articulation areas.
All families want a better life for their children. Having a college degree, or some type of further education or training, is fundamental to getting ahead in today’s world. Though numerous students qualify for financial aid, many families are still hard pressed to keep up with the ever-increasing financial burden of sending their children to college. Bootstraps assists families in alleviating some of this financial burden.
Our volunteer board of directors meets regularly to coordinate fundraising and planning efforts, all of which are designed to benefit our local area students. All proceeds generated from these fundraising efforts are distributed to students annually in the form of scholarships or interest free loans. In the spring, the student review committee evaluates applications and matches available scholarship and loan funds with deserving students. Recipients are selected based on a number of factors including academic achievement, school involvement and community service, but always with an emphasis on financial need. Special circumstances are also weighed on an individual basis.
