Create a Scholarship/Create a Bootstraps Loan
Creating a named scholarship and/or loan is a wonderful way to recognize an individual or group or to memorialize a loved one. By making a donation of $800 or more to Bootstraps, Inc., a family, business, or community group may create a named scholarship or loan. Bootstraps will augment your donation by 25%, up to a maximum of an additional $1,000. For example, your donation of $1,000 creates a $1,250 scholarship or loan in the name of your choice. Likewise, a donation of $5,000 creates a $6,000 scholarship or loan.
Scholarships and loans are awarded to deserving students in the spring of the year. Scholarships or loans must be used beginning in the following fall. Loans are interest-free and are awarded directly to the student once the student has signed a loan agreement with Bootstraps. Loans may be renewed annually at the discretion of Bootstraps. Students are expected to repay their loans upon the completion of their education. Payment schedules may be arranged.
