ELIGIBILITY AND APPLICATION
THE 2021 APPLICATION IS CLOSED. CHECK BACK ON NOVEMBER 1 FOR THE 2022 APPLICATION.
Who is eligible to apply for a scholarship or loan?
1. You are eligible to apply for a Bootstraps scholarship and/or loan if you meet the following criteria:
• You are a high school senior currently attending and will be graduating from Evergreen, Conifer, Platte Canyon*, or Clear Creek* High School.
OR
• You live in the Conifer High School or Evergreen High School attendance area and will graduate from a different high school or are home schooled.
AND
• You are a legal resident of the State of Colorado and reside in Conifer, Evergreen, Indian Hills, Kittredge, Morrison, or Pine.
AND
• You plan to attend a postsecondary school full-time in the fall immediately following high school graduation. Postsecondary includes college, university, vocational and technical schools.
* Please note - Students of Clear Creek High School residing in the 80439 zip code are eligible to apply for ALL Bootstraps scholarships and loans. Those outside of the 80439 zip code and students of Platte Canyon High School are eligible to apply for the Mountain Protective Scholarship, the Evergreen Elks Scholarship, and interest-free loans.
The criteria for the Mountain Protective Scholarship are a student with an interest in environmental studies, law enforcement or fire safety attending a college or university in Colorado.
You MUST have financial need to receive a Bootstraps award. You have financial need if the cost of attendance for the school you plan to attend exceeds your expected family contribution (EFC) as determined by the FAFSA.
