Career Training
Empowering Students Beyond Traditional College Paths
Bootstraps has always been committed to providing funding for students interested in nontraditional education after high school. However, we often find that students aren’t aware of the opportunities available to them. Thanks to a generous grant from the Bill Ackerman Estate, we established the Bootstraps Career Training Program to raise awareness among students about the funding we offer for students to pursue trade and certification programs.
Traditional college isn’t the right fit for everyone, especially when there’s a significant demand for skilled professionals. Our mission is to introduce students to a wide range of career options that don’t necessarily require a four-year degree. We believe the best way to reach our students is by connecting them with local professionals like you. We invite career professionals to present to our local high school students in 30-40 minute sessions, sharing insights into their businesses, career journeys, and experiences. Your story could be the inspiration a student needs to pursue a rewarding career in the trades.
