Application Deadlines

Round 1: The application opens on December 1, 2024, and must be submitted by January 31, 2025.
Round 2: Once a qualifying student completes Round 1, Round 2 will open immediately and must be submitted by February 15, 2025.

Each year, up to 100 students apply for scholarships and interest-free loans through Bootstraps. On average, about 40 percent of applicants receive awards, depending on the number of scholarships available.
All awards are generously funded by members of the community, who donate their hard-earned money to help local students pursue their educational goals.
Scholarship and Loan Details

Scholarships range from $500 for one year to $44,000 for four years.

Interest-free loans range from $500 to $5,000 for the first year of college.

Each donor sets the specific criteria for their award, so eligibility requirements can vary each year. Many awards can be used not only for two- and four-year colleges but also for vocational and technical training.

Application Process
Students begin by completing Round 1 of the application. If eligible, they will be notified within three business days and invited to proceed to Round 2.
