A Few 2017 Recipients
Jake Borchard graduated from Conifer High School and will attend the University of Oregon and major in advertising and marketing. He participated in basketball, football, track, and DECA in high school. Jake says he got his first taste of the business world during a DECA role play he participated in. He says after the, he was hooked. He wants to work for an advertising agency after college. Ryker Eagen is an Evergreen High School graduate who will attend the University of Colorado Boulder and plans to major in engineering. He says, "I want to love my job so I never have to work a day in my life."
Ryker played basketball and baseball in high school and also participated in RYLA. Natalie File plans to major in elementary education to become a teacher and would also like to have a studio for teaching piano. She credits her teachers with having helped to develop some of her strengths and hopes to have the same influence on others as a teacher.
Natalie has been involved in marching band at Conifer High Sschool and also participates in swimming and diving. She will attend Hastings College in the fall. Natalie loves to read! Erica Koenigsberg graduated from Conifer High School. She aspires to be a college English teacher and will be attending Cornell College. She is a writer and calls writing "the endurance sport of the arts."
Erica was a member of the Writing Club and the National Honor Society and is a cat-lover. Isabella Mohr graduated from Evergreen High School and plans to attend the University of Denver in the fall where she will major in neuroscience and music. Her career goal is to become a neurotherapist while making musical performance a part of her life.
In high school, Isabella was president of the student body and Key Club, as well as a member of National Honor Society and the school's elite choir, all while practicing for a leading role in the school's musical. Liam Smith is an Evergreen High School graduate who will be attending South Dakota School of Mines in the fall. He will major in geological engineering and has completed an executive internship in this field while attending high school.
Liam is a firearms instructor, master scuba diver, and a member of the National Honor Society. Liam says his love of geology comes from his experiences living in Evergreen. |
