Career Training

A four-year degree isn't for everyone, especially when there are so many other options available. Maybe you don't want to be a brain surgeon; you'd rather be the technician who administers the MRI. Maybe you don't want to be an architect; you'd rather be the CAD drafter who makes the plans for the building or the plumber who installs the water lines. And maybe you don't want to be an environmental scientist; you'd rather be an arborist who cuts down trees and diagnoses tree diseases.
None of the above-mentioned careers require a four-year college degree, but you'll get a lot farther in the field you choose if you have some type of training beyond high school, a certificate, or an associates degree. We have scholarships and interest-free loans for that! In some cases, the funding we have will cover the full cost of obtaining the certificate. |
Types of ScholarshipsMost of the scholarships available for Career and Technical Education programs are general and can be used for any field you choose, such as precision machining, automotive, carpentry, bookkeeping, culinary arts, cinematography, hair dressing, and fire science, to name a few.
Other scholarships are for specific fields of study. The Lam Tree Service Scholarship, for example, is for someone who wants to become a certified arborist, and we have several scholarships and loans specifically for those going into building trades.
