"At the end, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about who you've
lifted up, who you've made better. It's about what you've given back." Denzel Washington

Why should you donate to Bootstraps?
Quite simply, because your gift to Bootstraps will change lives. Your gift will help a first generation college student realize their dream of being the first person in their family to graduate from college. Your gift will allow a college student to study more and work less because they received an interest-free loan to help pay for books and living expenses. Your gift will help a parent to sleep better at night knowing their child's future is brighter. Make a gift - change a life!

Donating to Bootstraps is as easy as clicking a couple of buttons or putting a check in the mail. All donations to Bootstraps are tax-deductible as allowed by law. In 2018, 82% of donations went directly to the students of the Evergreen/Conifer area to help them pursue their educational dreams.
Cap & Gown Club - Recurring Monthly Donations
  • Monthly recurring giving is a convenient, budget-friendly way to donate to Bootstraps. You determine the monthly amount of your donation and can stop or alter it at any time.
  • Your credit card or e-check is processed around the same date each month and you’ll receive an email confirmation of your gift.
  • Each January, you will receive an annual giving statement that you can use for tax purposes.
  • Monthly giving is also a great way to fund a scholarship or interest-free loan. Your monthly donation of $67 plus Bootstraps’ match of $16.75 will fund a $1,000 scholarship or loan.

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A DAF is a type of giving that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support your favorite charities. An increasingly popular charity vehicle, DAFs are an excellent way to both simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals.

How does it work?
  • Establish your DAF by making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program.
  • Advise the investment allocation of the donated assets.
  • Recommend grants to qualified public charities of your choice.

Securities
If you have questions regarding how to donate stock or appreciated securities, please contact Colleen Skates, Business Manager, at Accounting@BootstrapsInc.org.
