Thanks to Bergen Park Liquors
for their support of the Bootstraps
Pop Up Restaurant.

Picture
"What," you ask, "is a pop up restaurant?" Well, it's a restaurant that is open for only a short period of time, sometimes for just one meal, that pops up at different locations. Lucky for you, the Bootstraps Pop Up Restaurant will be open for two nights.
Tom Ramsey is the chef of stäge pop up restaurant, a series of pop ups being presented across the country.

Tom is a chef, sommelier, restaurateur, writer and media personality living in Jackson, Mississippi. At his “day job” as Chef and founder of stäge popups, he travels and cooks with chefs far better than him. He also enjoys his tenure as Consulting Executive Chef for Anchuca Bed & Breakfast in historic Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Tom won the premiere episode of Guy’s Grocery Games on the Food Network, made it to the quarterfinals on Season Three of ABC’s The Taste and appears on Appetite for Life and Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern. Tom is a widely published writer of recipes, fiction, essays, op-ed pieces and magazine articles. His work has been featured in local, regional and national publications as well as in various online publications. He is currently co-writing the “Southern Staples” series of books with renowned author and restaurateur Regina Charboneau. The first book in the series Grits & Greens could be available this spring, but that’s really up to the publishing gods. By night, he wears a mask and a cape and fights crime…not really, but only because he doesn’t currently own a cape and a mask. If he had such things, well…one never knows what he might be up to next.

Bootstraps is very fortunate to be able to present two pop up restaurants featuring Chef Tom Ramsey. The restaurants will take place in a beautiful private home in Evergreen on August 26th and 27th. The address will be emailed to you with your purchase receipt. Pricing is all-inclusive and proceeds will help Bootstraps to continue the work of eliminating financial barriers to higher education for students of the mountain community.
